AWS Free Tier

Amazon Web Services (AWS) offers a free tier of service that allows new customers to try out some of its services at no charge. The AWS free tier includes a variety of services and is intended to help new customers get started with AWS and become familiar with the platform.

The free tier includes a variety of services, such as:

  1. Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) – 750 hours of t2.micro instances per month for one year.
  2. Simple Storage Service (S3) – 5 GB of standard storage, 20,000 Get Requests, and 2,000 Put Requests per month for one year.
  3. Elastic Block Store (EBS) – 30 GB of EBS General Purpose (SSD) or Magnetic storage, 2 million I/Os (with EBS Magnetic) and 1 GB of snapshot storage per month for one year.
  4. Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) – 750 hours of a load balancer usage per month for one year.
  5. Amazon RDS – 750 hours of a db.t2.micro instance, 20 GB of storage, and 20 GB of backup storage per month for one year.
  6. Amazon DynamoDB – 25 GB of storage, 25 units of read capacity, and 25 units of write capacity per month for one year.
  7. AWS Lambda – 1 million free requests per month and 400,000 GB-seconds of compute time per month for one year.

It is important to note that some services are only available for a certain period of time, and some services have usage limits. After the free tier period, or if usage exceeds the limits of the free tier, you will be charged for the services used.

Also, some services have different levels of free tiers, for example, for Amazon S3 and Amazon Glacier, the free tier includes 5GB of storage, 20,000 Get Requests, and 2,000 Put Requests for S3, and for Glacier, the free tier is 10 GB of data retrieval per month for one year.

AWS also offers a number of additional free and trial services, such as Amazon SageMaker, Amazon QuickSight, and Amazon Connect, which can be found on their website.
