Which means

to arrest any person

For illustration

  • Billy was caught dashing on his motorcycle. It can be his 2nd offence, so if he receives nicked once more he’ll lose his licence.
  • Our neighbours have been nicked very last night for promoting unlawful medications. We applied to see heaps of men and women likely in and out, but we experienced no idea they were being working in medication.


This is commonly utilised in British English but may well be applied in other types of English much too.
