The animal world - The idea of making animals the protagonists of movies is very old. They gained relevance over time and, in some productions, dictate the course of the entire story.

A great topic for movies - Not all films with animals are aimed at children. Surely, you've watched one of these movies, but if not, what are you waiting for?

Life of Pi - 2012 - A castaway develops a marvelous relationship with a Bengal tiger in this acclaimed movie that won various awards. 

Turner and Hooch - 1989 - Tom Hanks plays a detective who is left with a dog to help him find a killer. An endearing movie showing the comedic talent of a young Hanks - and the dog, of course.

War Horse - 2011 - The grueling story of World War I is told from the perspective of a horse that is forced to participate in it. A moving, visually stunning, and heartbreaking film.

Little Stuart Little - 1999 - It tells the story of a family that wants another child and ends up adopting Stuart, a cute little mouse. 

March of the Penguins - 2005 - 'March of the Penguins' is a documentary that tells the story of Emperor Penguins and their breeding cycle.

The One and Only Ivan - 2020 - 'The One and Only Ivan' is a story about friendship and the importance of home. Ivan is a gorilla who shares its habitat in a mall with other animals. 

Lassie Come Home - 1943 - Lassie showed the world the power of love and the great friendship that can exist between humans and animals.

Planet of the Apes - 1968 - A 1968 classic. Astronaut George Taylor traveled after centuries of hibernation and, he woke up on a planet ruled by apes, where humans were nothing more than slaves.

A Street Cat Named Bob - 2016 - The film is inspired by the book of the same name, considered a best seller in the same year. The real-life Bob died in 2020.
