Apocalyptical events strike as a group of friends are trapped in a house. Notable deaths include being impaled by a street lamp and being eaten by cannibals.
'Melancholia' (2011) -
Planet Melancholia collides with Earth and kills everyone. Before this happens though, one of the characters kills himself with his horses.
'28 Weeks Later' (2007) -
A group of survivors of a virus outbreak are getting on with their lives, when a woman changes their fate. Everyone dies in the end.
'Beneath the Planet of the Apes' (1970) -
An ape detonates a nuclear bomb, wiping out all life on Earth. A bit sad and nihilistic, but there you have it.
'The Wild Bunch' (1969) -
This classic directed by Sam Peckinpah sees most members of a bandit gang perishing during violent shoot-outs.
'Snowpiercer' (2013) -
A train carries the last of humanity during a snowy apocalypse. Everyone, except two characters, die in the film.
