The gay and lesbian TV couples we love

Alex and Piper - There have been several lesbian couples on 'Orange is the New Black,' but the relationship between Alex (Laura Prepon) and Piper (Taylor Schilling) rules supreme.

Naomi and Emily - Naomi (Lily Loveless) and Emily (Kathryn Prescott) from 'Skins' were quite the dramatic couple, but beloved all the same.

Kurt and Blaine - 'Glee' makes another appearance on this list with fan-favorite duo Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss).

Oliver and Connor - Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) and Connor (Jack Falahee) made an already riveting 'How to Get Away with Murder' all the more intriguing.

Shaw and Root -
Shaw (Sarah Shahi) and Root (Amy Acker) weren't originally meant to be lovers on 'Person of Interest,' but their chemistry just could not be ignored.

Cameron and Mitchell - Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) were possibly the most adorable couple on 'Modern Family.'

Stef and Lena -
Parents are sexy too, as Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum) proved on 'The Fosters.'

Hugh and Paul - Gay space couple, anyone? Try Hugh (Wilson Cruz) and Paul (Anthony Rapp) from 'Star Trek: Discovery.'

Patrick and David - Patrick (Noah Reid) and David (Dan Levy) proved to be quite the cute couple on 'Schitt's Creek.'

Alison and Emily -
Emily (Shay Mitchell) had a few girlfriends on 'Pretty Little Liars,' but Alison (Sasha Pieterse) always seemed to loom around one way or another.

Mikey and Titus -
So very different, Mikey (Mike Carlsen) and Titus (Tituss Burgess) were also so very fun to watch on 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.'

Daryl and White Josh - While they lasted, Daryl (Pete Gardner) and White Josh (David Hull) delighted fans of quirky comedy 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.'

Nico and Karolina - Nico (Lyrica Okano) and Karolina (Virginia Gardner) are teens with superpowers and equally strong feelings for each other on 'Runaways.' We simply loved them together!

Alice and Robin - It's actually unfair how cute Alice (Rose Reynolds) and Robin (Tiera Skovbye) were on 'Once Upon a Time.'

Rose and Luisa - Rose (Bridget Regan) and Luisa's (Yara Martinez) relationship, like much of 'Jane the Virgin,' was very confusing, but fans love the pair all the same.

Ben and Michael - The US version of 'Queer as Folk' had many viewers rooting for Ben (Robert Gant) and Michael (Hal Sparks).

Bette and Tina -
Bette (Jennifer Beals) and Tina (Laurel Holloman) from 'The L Word' were one of the first lesbian power couples on TV.

Ashley and Spencer -
Ashley (Mandy Musgrave) and Spencer (Gabrielle Christian) were the protagonists of teen soap 'South of Nowhere,' and, consequently, a groundbreaking couple.
