Tokyo has a reputation for being pricey, and with some of the world’s most expensive land found in this crowded city, it’s not hard to see why.

It should come as no surprise that this star-studded and glamorous city consistently ranks as one of the most expensive cities in the world to live.

It’s the 13th-largest city in the United States, but San Francisco, known for the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and tech culture, is one of the world’s most expensive cities to live in.

This people-packed island city in South China is known for towering skyscrapers, cultural festivals, amazing food—and the need for deep pockets.

 New York City has the world’s largest urban economy and also boasts more than 340,000 millionaires—meaning residents need lots of cash to compete for goods and services. 

The city is known as a wealthy one and its residents definitely need deep pockets in order to afford to live here.

Geneva is well-known as the headquarters of the United Nations and is often regarded as a sophisticated and wealthy city. It is also known as an expensive one.
