CSS border-color:

To set the color of the border the CSS border-color property is used.

  • Name: It is used to define the color name.
  • RGB: It is used to define the RGB value of the color.
  • Hex: It is used to define the hex value of the color.

We can also set the border color to “transparent”. The border color is inherited from the color property of an HTML element if it is not set. The border-color property is always used with other border properties.

Example:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<style>
p.one {
border-style: dotted;
border-color: red;
}
p.two {
border-style: solid;
border-color: yellow;
}
p.three {
border-style: solid;
border-color: red blue yellow green;
}
</style>
</head>
