JCWI :- Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants
Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI). The people shifting in a foreign country permanently because of some issues like sudden climatic change, etc. are known as immigrants and the movement of people is known as immigration. The immigrants are not easily granted permission to reside there, they have to struggle a lot. An independent national charity was established in 1967 for the welfare of immigrants and was named as Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI). The charity aims to provide justice and equality to the immigrants. The staffs working under this charity works day and night in all the possible ways. Their major challenge is against the Hostile Environment Policy, in which an environment is created by someone for the other in order to harass them. The council posts their articles regularly on their website, and some of them are even published in some newspapers and magazines. Many of the students and legal practitioners are also involved in this charity.
