NOIDA:- New Okhla Industrial Development Authority

NOIDA stands for New Okhla Industrial Development Authority. It is a planned city under the management of the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (also called NOIDA). It is a satellite city of Delhi and is a part of the National Capital Region of India. It came into administrative existence on 17th April 1976. From that year 17 April is celebrated as “Noida Day”. Noida is in the Gautam Budh Nagar district. It is a part of the Meerut Division.

Noida is a part of the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is administered by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. It was originally set up as a part of an urbanization thrust. This happened during the controversial Emergency period (1975–1977). The city was developed under the UP Industrial Area Development Act, 1976. This was an initiative by Sanjay Gandhi. The city of Noida has the highest per capita income in the whole National Capital Region (NCR) of India. It is classified as a special economic zone (SEZ).
