IFFI:- INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL OF INDIA

The International Film Festival of India (IFFI), established in 1952, is a standout amongst the most critical film celebrations in Asia. Held yearly, as of now in the province of Goa, on the western shore of the nation, the celebration goes for giving a typical stage to the films of the world to extend

the brilliance of the film craftsmanship; adding to the comprehension and valuation for film societies of various countries with regards to their social and social ethos; and advancing fellowship and collaboration among individuals of the world. The celebration is led together by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Directorate of Film Festivals and the Government of Goa.

The first version of IFFI was sorted out by the Films Division, Government of India, with the support of the main Prime Minister of India. Held in Mumbai from 24 January to 1 February 1952, the Festival was hence taken to Madras, Delhi, Calcutta, and Trivandrum. In all, it had around 40 highlights and 100 short movies. In Delhi, the IFFI was initiated by Prime Minister Pt Jawaharlal Nehru on 21 February 1952.
