NFSIT:- National Venture Fund for Software and Information Technology
NFSIT stands for National Venture Fund for Software and Information Technology is a liquidated private equity fund managed by SIDBI Venture capital in India. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of SIDBI. SIDBI is the acronym for Small Industries Development Bank Of India. It was incorporated in the year 1999 as investment management company in India. It was incorporated with an aim to promote finance and develop the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector in the country. SIDBI is headquartered at Mumbai. NFSIT has a total of 6430 trusts, funds and financial entities. It is a part of Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India. It was launched on 10th December 1999 by then Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
