The full form of PMSSY stands for Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. The Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana aims at correcting regional imbalances in the availability of affordable, quality tertiary health care services to the Needy. And Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana also helps those with dreams of medical education, providing them with available facilities for quality medical education in the country. And also developing the medical part of the country by setting up of AIIMS-like institutes and upgrading of existing government medical colleges and institutions in many parts of the country.
