PTCT:- Parents to Child Transmission
The full form of PTCT stands for Parent to Child Transmission. Parent to Child Transmission is a process through which various diseases, viruses, bacteria, or very old genetics could be transmitted to the child. Woman or mother to child transmission is the most common type of Parent to Child Transmission. You can take HIV for example where the transmission happens through the HIV infected woman or mother to the child during pregnancy, childbirth (also called labor and delivery), or breastfeeding or breast milk.
