SERC:- Structural Engineering Research Centre
SERC stands for Structural Engineering Research Centre functions under Government subsidiary of CSIR (The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research). SERC is an excellent and advanced laboratory headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and is one of 39 laboratories under CSIR. It primarily works for analytical and architectural testing of Structures and Structural Components. Additionally, it works on Tower Testing, Civil Engineering, Wind and Earthquake prediction, and studies.
It is an ISO:9001 certified institution with more than 500 employees. The services are used by both Central and State Government as well as Private and Public-Sector bodies. CSIR’s scientists are members of various National and International Organizations and the organization is considered as one of leading research institute in the field of Structural Engineering.
