Recruitment is a continuous and overall process of searching, attracting and stimulating the desired talent pool and appointing suitable candidates for the job openings within an organization.

There are six steps in Recruitment Process:

All the organizations constantly analyze the tasks to be performed and set the eligibility for the specific tasks according to the required skill set. Depending on the analysis of the requirements and if the requirement meets the eligible skill set, vacant job positions are identified. Now that the vacant job positions are identified, job titles like Team Leader, Sales Manager or Marketing Manager are decided upon next.
Prepare the Job Descriptions:
The next step in the recruitment process is to define the job descriptions. It tells about the roles and responsibilities that come with a job and specifies other details such as the designation, salary, bonus and incentives, holidays and leave policy and other benefits.

Job specifications are exactly those requirements which explain what kind of candidate with what skill set and qualification is needed at the company. So job specifications briefly highlights the required skills, eligibility criteria, qualification and experience required for the job.
Attracting the Eligible Candidates
Organizations posts lucrative job openings at relevant platforms in order to attract talented pool of individuals at this step. Mainly, there are two sources that are used to attract the potential employees, the internal and external. The internal sources can be transfer, promotion, employee referrals etc. And the external sources are like job consultancies, job portals, educational institutes, social media or advertisement in newspapers.
Screening the Candidates
Once the job openings are posted, interested candidates starts sending their applications in. At this step, the organization starts screening based on the job specifications, required skill set, qualification and experience needed for the job. Then eligible candidates are shortlisted and later called for the written and face to face interviews.
