How to Insert Text in MS Word

The basic steps to insert a line of text or to create a new document in the Word are listed:

  • First, Go to the start menu and look for the Microsoft Word icon
  • Now, Click that icon to open the Microsoft Word
  • You will now see a blinking cursor or an insertion point in the text area below the ribbon
  • Now, as soon as you start typing, the words will start to appear on the screen in the text area
  • To change the location of your insertion point press the space bar, Enter or Tab keys
